An arcticle from the Venice Gondolier Sun by Debbie Flessner, Sun Correspondent
This Fall, we had the great pleasure to visit one of our exclusive producers in the Grand Cru area of the Cognac region in France. The chalky soil of Grand Cru is considered the best for growing the grapes used to make this special brandy. The properties of the soil strains the grapes as they grow, causing them to produce more tannins and making them perfect for Cognac distillation.
